Becoming a member of the West Harlem CSA can cost less than purchasing your produce from a grocery store. A sliding scale, based upon your income level, determines the exact cost of membership. Payment is expected prior to the start of the season unless you are using food stamps.
To become a member of the WHCSA, you must purchase a vegetable share, all other shares are optional. A Full Share may be enough vegetables for 3-4 people and a Half Share may be enough vegetables for 1-2 people throughout the season. How many people the vegetable share feeds will vary based on your families weekly vegetable intake. This is only a suggested amount. Please select the shares you are purchasing based upon your total household income level. During the 22 week season, Full shares are picked up weekly and Half shares are picked up every other week. Half share members will be provided with a schedule of their pick up dates at least one week before the season begins.
